Usually referred to simply as “Cardiff” by locals, this beach community is actually part of the city of Encinitas, just south of San Diego. Founded in 1911, today it offers approximately two miles of Pacific coastline and hosts a population of approximately 12,000 residents as well as a 900-acre ecological reserve. Homes here range from condos, townhomes and modest single family residences, to spectacular multi-million-dollar ocean view retreats. Residents here maintain a very strong and active community organization, Cardiff 101 Main Street.
